Codonca X-Ray — Privacy Policy

Codonca X-Ray is a Chrome extension for licensed vehicle dealers. When you open a vehicle lot on a salvage auction site, the extension shows a panel with market value, resale history, damage-zone parts pricing, freight estimates and vehicle history for that vehicle. This policy explains what data the extension handles and why.

What we access

The extension reads the vehicle identifier (VIN or lot number) and basic vehicle attributes (year, make, model, damage, location) from the auction page you are already viewing. It reads only the page you have open — it does not browse, scrape or log any other pages, and it does not read pages outside the supported auction sites and codonca.com.

What we send and store

• The vehicle identifier and attributes above, plus a destination ZIP for freight, are sent to Codonca's API to generate the assessment.
• Your account API key, stored locally in the browser, is used to authenticate your subscription and enforce your daily lookup limit.
• We keep a request log (vehicle identifier, timestamp, key) to enforce quotas and detect abuse.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
• We do not collect browsing history, keystrokes, passwords or personal content from any site.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

Accounts & payment

The extension is linked to your Codonca account. Payment is processed by Stripe; Codonca does not store your card details. You can cancel your subscription at any time, which immediately disables the extension's access.

Data retention & deletion

Request logs are retained only as long as needed for quota enforcement and abuse detection. To request deletion of your account data, contact us at the address below.
